They finished my grandma's basement and they didnt do the best work. Pieces falling apart here and there, also didnt finish the shelves in the kitchen cabinet! We have called and left messages asking them to come finish the shelves but they haven't even replied. Super frustrating. We were expecting more for the price we paid.

We had our basement finished in January of this year with Todd. We met him during one of my wife’s chemo treatments. He was receiving treatment as well and was so nice and friendly to everyone there that when we found out what he did for work, we had to have him out to look at our basement. Anyways, we didn't write a review initially after they were done. It didn’t cross our minds. But we had a toilet overflow last week in the basement and the baseboards had some water damage on them. We called Todd to see if he could help out and sure enough, he sent a guy out that Saturday morning to re-paint them. I had to take some time to repay him. Todd, Jen, Mario and the rest of his company are good people. We felt comfortable having them in our home. We knew money was never his bottom line. He just wanted us to be happy. We loved it when he said he’s never had a customer that he’d be afraid to run into at smiths. They created a beautiful basement for us. It wasn’t a 100% perfect process. We didn’t expect it to be. But we know the kind of trashy contractors that are out there, so we gave them some slack and they reciprocated. We are so happy we met him and so happy with their work.

We had an excellent experience with Utah Basements this past year. They completed our unfinished basement with 2 bedrooms, large living area, exercise room, utility room, linen closet, under stairs closet, and full bath. They were able to schedule us immediately once we received all the bids, and the project took roughly 9 weeks from start to final walkthrough. Utah Basements was the second highest bid, partly because they did not do the flooring (which was an additional $3k through RC Willey).

Communicating with Todd was very convenient, and he responded quickly to text, email, and message through the UBKB online client portal, where we formally documented design changes.

Victor was on site most days and was extremely professional and very friendly. He answered all of our questions, gave helpful suggestions, and always contacted us when there was an issue or he needed direction.

Once materials were in, the crew made fantastic progress framing, plumbing, and electrical. The rest of the process went very smoothly, with the minor exception that a bunch of paint touch ups were needed, but they were taken care of immediately.

Overall we had a top-notch experience with Todd, Victor and UBKB, couldn’t be happier with the final product, and would definitely recommend them if you need a basement finished!

Everyone knows that we are living in a world of not only fake news but also fake reviews! Since consumers started to pay attention to Google and Yelp reviews, a new type of business has come into play. They are called reputation managers, and their job is nothing more than to create fake reviews for businesses who are unable to get any for themselves. If you are skeptical about reviews and testimonials, please take a look at the gallery of our work! Can’t fake that! Can you?
